My name is David Tran and I am the sole trader, director, and owner of David Tran.

David Tran is a space where I can let loose, a space for me to share my views, opinions, and provide services, within my capacity, for you.

  • I am a Latter-day Saint, I love the gospel, and gospel sharing is important in building our testimonies.
  • I am a hobbyist photographer, and always happy to go out and do some shoots, though unfortunately unable to at this time.
  • I sell electronics in an online shop, and I have many thoughts that I'd love to share via reviews (future work in progress).

Many more things I am and like doing, but with a growing family, one must balance their priorities.

Before becoming a Latter-day saint (Mormon), I had grown up Buddhist with my family. Became agnostic as I went through my high school years, and one day just felt that there had to be something more, ie. this Jesus Christ fella seems to hit a chime. I had friends, a boss, and a tutor, who were of Christian and Catholic backgrounds. Learning from them, I had unanswered questions. One day the missionaries approached me, and that's when the conversion slowly began. Questions were answered, but ultimately, the only way to know if I was on the right path, was to pray.

I asked God if the Bible was complete, if I needed to continue searching for the correct Christian church, but received no answer. Upon asking if the Book of Mormon supports the Bible and helps complete the gospel, I received my answer.

I was baptised into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the 11th of May 2008, later served a mission from the 29th of February 2012 to May of 2014 in Cambodia and Vietnam. I was sealed to my wife Jessica in the Manilla Philippines Temple on the 3rd of December 2014 and currently to my best to live the Lord's gospel and serve his children.

I am grateful for the missionaries who found me, who shared the gospel with me, thankful for the opportunity I had to then serve a mission and share the restored gospel, and now blessed to be able to live it.

My very first camera was a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX12 point and shoot camera. After some time, I started falling more and more in love with photography and started exploring different exposures and styles.

When the Panasonic died, it just so happened that a friend of mine had the Sony Alpha A33, to which I was hooked straight away and my very first DSLR camera, or in this case, DSLT camera, was the Sony Alpha A55. Loved it, and with that, I continued trying all sorts of photography and ideas.

I eventually upgraded to the Sony Alpha A65 and now am looking into my next upgrade.

I'm an enthusiast, a hobbyist, a lover of photography. I've learned a lot in my photographic journey, and will continue to learn and improve.

If you're looking for a weekend warrior to take some family photos, engagement photos, or even wedding photos, etc, feel free to get in contact with me and we'll have a meet.

I've had an interest in doing my own business since young. I then had an opportunity to work in one. Through this time, I've learned some important lessons when it comes to running a business, I also know that it's not easy running one.

After working in this business, I eventually moved on to running my own business of selling computers and electronic gadgets for a short period of time. Everything was running well but I eventually ceased operation to temporarily pursue other ventures.

Now coming back from such ventures, my goal is to start up the business again. It'll be a small home business at first, but my vision is to be big.
